2010 Chevrolet Camaro orders being taken
Crazy for the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro? Now you can place your order early
Oshawa, ON -- Since the day the Camaro concept model was unveiled, the most frequently asked question has been: “When can I order my new Camaro?” Well, beginning Thursday, October 16, 2008, Chevrolet dealers across Canada will be able to submit customer orders for the new 2010 Camaro Coupe.
“Even before pricing in Canada has been finalized, Camaro enthusiasts are anxious to get their orders on the books,” said Marc Comeau, vice-president of sales, service and marketing for GM of Canada. “The return of the Camaro and the buzz it has created are great reminders of the passion surrounding this marque and we're confident the new, fuel-efficient 2010 Camaro will make enthusiasts out of a whole new generation of drivers as well.”
Because demand at start of production will be strong, customers who order a vehicle early will be given priority. Orders can be placed through a Chevrolet dealer who will have information regarding early ordering, vehicle packaging and specifications and this information will also be available online at www.camaro.gm.ca as of October 16.
Canadian pricing for the 2010 Camaro will be released in the following weeks. In the U.S., pricing will start at $22,995 MSRP for the V-6-powered LS model, and $30,995 for the V-8-powered Camaro SS (all prices include $750 destination charge). In the U.S., customer ordering opened on October 13.
Camaro production is scheduled to begin in mid-February 2009 at the Oshawa, ON, Car Assembly Plant, with dealership deliveries beginning immediately. Complementing the Camaro's introduction is a range of performance, appearance and convenience accessories - including 21-inch wheels and tires; ground effects, stripe kits and even a classic-styled Hurst shifter - that customers can order and have installed at their dealership.
There will also be a “Numbers-Matching” merchandising package available through Choko Motorsports that will feature several unique Camaro items - some of which will feature a personalized VIN plate corresponding to the actual serial number of the customer's Camaro.
