2011 Canadian International AutoShow
Look for these Canadian and regional premieres at the 2011 Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto Feb. 18-27. 2011. All-new models and concepts are being introduced by Audi, BMW Group, Chrysler Group, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Land Rover, Mitsubishi, Nissan/Infiniti, Subaru, Toyota/Lexus and Volkswagen.
AUDI
2012 Audi A6 (Canadian Premiere)
Audi has redesigned its flagship executive-class model, the A6 Sedan. With a light body, sporty chassis and a wide array of new assistance and multimedia systems, the full-sized sedan has innovative solutions in almost every area of technology. The range of available engines and drivetrains is also extensive. Its initial engine is the 3.0 TFSI. The soon-to-be-available A6 hybrid, combining the power of a V6 with the fuel efficiency of a four-cylinder engine, will be one highlight of the lineup.
2012 Audi TT RS (Canadian Premiere)
Five-cylinder engines are in Audi's DNA. The company is once again building such an engine - this time a high-performance version. The Audi TT RS, developed by Quattro GmbH, sports a turbocharged 2.5-litre engine with FSI direct gasoline injection that produces 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, yet consumes only 9.2 litres/100 km. In conjunction with Quattro permanent all-wheel drive, the five-cylinder model offers explosive performance, making the compact Audi TT RS Coupé a purist driving machine.
BMW GROUP
2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupé (Canadian Premiere)
For the first time, the coveted M badge has been granted to the popular BMW 1 Series in the form of the all-new BMW 1 Series M Coupé, which will be available in limited quantities in spring 2011. With the original 1988 BMW M3 as its inspiration, the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupé combines the raw capabilities of a race car with the agility, versatility and seating position of the compact BMW Coupé. The heart of the 1 Series M Coupé is a twin-turbocharged, all-aluminum, 3.0-litre inline-six engine with twin low-mass turbochargers and BMW's High Precision direct injection, developing 335 hp and peak torque of 332 lb-ft -- and sprints from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The 1 Series M Coupé is also equipped with a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission, Variable M Differential Lock and DSC with M Dynamic Mode. It is packaged in assertive and dynamic new coachwork.
2012 BMW 6 Series Cabriolet (Canadian Premiere)
A breathtaking new silhouette combined with advanced powertrains and technology highlight BMW's new flagship premium convertible, the 2012 BMW 6 Series Cabriolet. A classic soft-top roof with flying buttress design combines with groundbreaking luxury, advanced chassis technology, and infotainment and safety features that set a new benchmark in the premium convertible market. Its 4.4-litre V-8 engine develops a maximum 400 hp and peak torque of 450 lb-ft. Mated to an eight-speed Sport Automatic transmission, the new BMW 650i Cabriolet boasts a perfect combination of speed, flexibility, sportiness and efficiency, whisking the new 650i Convertible from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds (European spec). The new BMW 650i Convertible is designed to be a 2+2-seater, with its interior offering individually tailored seats for the driver, and front and rear passengers.
MINI Paceman Concept Vehicle (Canadian Premiere)
The MINI Paceman Concept had its North American premiere at the Detroit auto show. The brand is preparing to celebrate its tenth North American anniversary with the Canadian premiere of the MINI Paceman Concept at the Toronto show. The MINI Paceman Concept's crossover design makes it the first Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) in the small car segment. The design takes the fundamental strengths of MINI -- its uniqueness, go-kart handling, agility, dynamic capability and individual design -- and gives them a fresh twist with the help of cutting-edge technology and an innovative body concept. It combines a sporty, masculine appearance, versatility and coupe looks with the dimensions of the four-door MINI Countryman. The MINI Paceman Concept could become another building block in the ongoing development of the brand and its product portfolio.
CHRYSLER
2011 Chrysler 300C (Canadian Premiere)
This all-new luxury sedan, with its iconic rear-wheel drive proportions, provides a new, elegantly sculptured body and for a more tailored appearance and sets a new course for the Chrysler brand. The interior delivers world-class accommodations and style, extensive passenger comfort features and precise fit and finish with substantial upgrades consisting of soft touch materials and premium trim throughout.
2011 Dodge Charger (Canadian Premiere)
This all-new full size sedan is a dramatic new design that is inspired by the second-generation Charger. With a more powerful and fuel efficient V6, the 292 hp Pentastar engine offers 37 mpg. Also available are a 5.7-litre HEMI V8 with Variable Valve Timing and all-wheel-drive (AWD). Also new is a premium interior with soft-touch surfaces, along with more than 45 safety and security features.
2011 Dodge Durango (Canadian Premiere)
This all-new full-size crossover offers standard seven-passenger seating, all-wheel-drive (AWD), premium interior soft-touch materials and amenities, and distinctive styling. A fuel-efficient 3.6-litre 290-hp Pentastar engine offers 32 mpg highway, over 1,000-km driving range, and best-in-class V6 trailer-towing capability to complement its four-wheel independent suspension for precise handling and ride quality.
FORD
Ford Focus BEV (Canadian Premiere)
The all-new Ford Focus Electric is the first fuel-free, rechargeable passenger car from Ford. The zero-CO2-emissions, gasoline-free version of Ford's popular small car is the flagship of the company's growing fleet of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric vehicles coming to North America and Europe by 2013. Not only is Focus Electric designed to provide outstanding energy efficiency and reliable operation, it also delivers real driving enjoyment. A full recharge is expected to take three to four hours at home with the 240-volt charge station. Focus Electric will be powered by an advanced lithium-ion battery system engineered by Ford in cooperation with supplier LG Chem. The battery system utilizes heated and cooled liquid to help maximize battery life and fuel-free driving range.

Ford C-MAX: (Regional Debut)

Ford Mustang BOSS (Regional Debut)
The 2012 Mustang Boss 302 is back. This modern performance car is built for both the street and the track. Available in limited production in 2012, the Mustang Boss 302 is set to become the quickest, best-handling straight-production Mustang ever offered by Ford. The Boss is upgraded in nearly every vehicle system; engine output, brakes, suspension, interior and exterior all examined to optimize weight, aerodynamics and track performance.
2011 Ford Explorer (Regional Debut)
The all-new Explorer has been reinvented for the 21st Century - with improved fuel economy, improved driving dynamics and a terrain management system, all wrapped in a modern, weight-saving design. Explorer raises the bar on safety with a class-leading array of airbags, including industry-first inflatable rear seat belts, Trinity front impact structure, AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control) and Curve Control functionality.
GENERAL MOTORS
2012 Buick Verano (Canadian Premiere)
The all-new 2012 Buick Verano compact luxury sedan, the brand's third new model in the past two years and the first in the compact luxury segment, makes its Canadian debut at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto. An Ecotec 2.4-litre engine and six-speed automatic powertrain combination is standard and delivers an estimated 177 hp and 170 lb-ft torque, 0-96 km/h performance of 8.0 seconds and an estimated 6.4 L/100 km on the highway. A 2.0-litre turbo engine will be offered in the future. Five elements infused in Verano that define its character are sculpted design, luxurious interior, quiet tuning, refined and responsive performance and purposeful technology.
2012 Chevrolet Orlando (Regional Debut)
Chevrolet's newest entrant into the Canadian MPV segment, the Orlando made its Canadian debut at the 2011 Montreal International Auto Show. The Orlando was one of the star attractions at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, and that European model is on display at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto. Based on the show car concept first seen at Paris in 2008, the Chevrolet Orlando is a true family vehicle, combining seven-seat practicality and interior flexibility with striking crossover style design. Chevrolet's new compact MPV eschews the bland designs sometimes seen in the segment, and instead adopts a bolder look with its low roofline and crossover-inspired silhouette, while retaining the distinctive and recognizable Chevrolet 'face' depicted by the split radiator grille and bow-tie badge. Orlando will be available at Chevrolet Dealers across Canada later this year.
2012 Chevrolet Sonic (Regional Debut)
Chevrolet Canada introduced the all-new 2012 Sonic at the Montreal International Auto Show. Its youthful, aggressive design is backed by turbocharged performance and agile ride and handling, combining to deliver an efficient, fun-to-drive small car. The Sonic is offered in two body styles: a stylish four-door sedan and a sporty five-door. Each delivers class-leading rear-seat roominess and cargo space. A variety of connectivity features enhance the driving experience.
2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible (Regional Debut)
This new convertible recently began production in Oshawa, ON, and goes on sale in February 2011. It includes an enhanced body structure and well-tailored top mechanism - a combination designed to deliver sports coupe-like driving fun and precise quality. The convertible will be offered in similar model configurations as the Camaro coupe. The standard model will have a 312-hp direct injection V6 engine delivering 6.9 L/100 km highway fuel consumption. The SS model will feature the 6.2-litre V8 engine producing 426 hp. A six-speed manual transmission will be standard, with an optional six-speed automatic.
HONDA
Honda CR-Z Concept (Canadian Premiere)
The CR-Z is an all-new Sport Hybrid from Honda. It has a three-mode drive system and six-speed manual transmission.
Honda Civic Si Coupe concept (Regional Debut)
The Honda Civic Si Concept coupe made its world debut at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI. The concept vehicle offers an intriguing preview of the styling direction of the new, ninth-generation Civic. This spring, the all-new Civic model range will arrive with unprecedented diversity, including conventional sedan and coupe models, sporty "Si" performance versions, as well as hybrid and natural-gas variants.

2012 Veloster (Canadian Premiere)

2011 Kia Optima Hybrid (Canadian Premiere)

2011 Kia Optima (Canadian Premiere)
With world-class engineering, outstanding performance and advanced safety systems, the all-new 2011 Kia Optima gives a good reason to be passionate about driving a mid-sized sedan. It combines standout exterior styling with a comfortable, luxurious interior. The Optima LX, with its 2.4-litre Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) technology provides outstanding fuel economy and power with 5.7 L/100 km highway and 8.7 L/100 km in the city. 2012 Range Rover Evoque 5-Door (Canadian Premiere)

MITSUBISHI
Mitsubishi iMiEV (Regional Debut)
Based on a gasoline-powered "i" car in the Japanese market, which is a roomy and practical four-door, the new 100% battery-powered 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV for the North American market was developed. The zero tailpipe emission i-MiEV will be the first North American production vehicle to be powered by Mitsubishi's innovative Electric Vehicle (MiEV) technology - cutting edge drivetrain engineering that will serve as the basis for future environmentally-friendly vehicles. Gone are conventional automotive systems, including a gasoline engine, transmission and a fuel tank, as these have been replaced by advanced components, including a lithium-ion battery pack, electric motor and an efficient battery charging system.
Mitsubishi PX MiEV (Regional Debut)
The PX MiEV showcases several technologies that are likely to find their way into future Mitsubishi products. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is a world leader in electric vehicle (EV) development and also produces the i-MiEV, an all-electric commuter car currently on sale in Japan and also undergoing real world trials in several Canadian locations. The Concept PX MiEV is a plug-in hybrid that combines extended cruising range with vastly improved performance over gasoline-only vehicles, all in a midsize package. The PX MiEV represents the most evolved result of Mitsubishi's four decades worth of electric vehicle (EV) research and development.
NISSAN/INFINITI
Nissan Ellure Concept (Canadian Premiere)
Ellure is an expression of Nissan's long-term vision for the next generation of great Nissan sedans that honour unmatched daytime functionality with a more emotive, almost hidden ambience that comes to life after dark. 2011 Nissan Quest (Canadian Premiere)

Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept (Canadian Premiere)
The Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept Car that will be on display at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto highlights Subaru's announcement of a new gas/electric hybrid system based on Subaru's boxer engine. The concept features unique gull-wing doors that emphasize its spacious interior. Powering the Hybrid Tourer is a 2.0-litre horizontally-opposed direct fuel-injection turbo gasoline engine that improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions. The turbo is mated to Subaru's Lineartronic (CVT). The powertrain features a unique gas/hybrid two-motor system with an electric power/drive motor in the front and another drive motor in the rear. The electric motors are powered by new high-performance lithium batteries.

2012 Lexus LFA (Canadian Premiere)

2011 Lexus CT 200h (Regional Debut)

With unique attitude and style, the Lexus CT 200h will appeal to a new, youthful group of luxury buyers. The CT 200h is fun-to-drive thanks to a sport-tuned suspension and four driver selectable modes, yet also boasts the luxury segment's best combined fuel economy.
2012 Scion iQ (Regional Debut)
The Scion iQ, on display at the Canadian International Auto Show, is the world's smallest four-seater. This vehicle is the ultimate small, urban friendly, fuel efficient vehicle that's big on style, features and safety. Packed with 10 airbags, including the world's first rear-window curtain airbag, the Scion iQ defines a new, premium micro-subcompact segment in Canada when it rolls into Scion dealerships later this year.
VOLKSWAGEN
2012 Volkswagen Passat (Canadian Premiere)
Replacing the Passat and Passat Wagon in North America., the new seventh-generation Passat that was unveiled in Paris this past fall will continue to serve the European market. The NMS will be noticeably larger than the outgoing Passat, and will feature three engines when it is launched in the summer of 2011. These are the 2.5-litre inline five-cylinder, the 2.0- litre TDI clean diesel and the 3.6-litre V6.
