Canadian motorcycle racer in Formula Xtreme season closer

Steve Crevier and his Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada Buell XBRR will finish their 2006 season by participating in the Formula Xtreme race in this ultimate round of the 2006 AMA season, at the famous Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Steve Crevier of Maple Ridge, B.C., and his Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada Buell XBRR will finish their 2006 season by participating in the Formula Xtreme race in this ultimate round of the 2006 AMA season, at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Steve is primed and ready to squeeze the maximum out of the machine. “I have been on a training program since my last race on the Buell XBRR in August. Mid-Ohio is a nice flowing track with a high speed straight, and the Buell's power and agile handling are ideally suited to the track. This is our second visit at Mid-Ohio this year, and we have worked hard on the bike since our first visit; we can't wait to see how much we have improved the machine.

"My first objective is to complete the race, and a top-five finish would be a nice bonus for the whole team.”

Granby, Que.-based Picotte Performance have been developing the Buell XBRR racing machines, and team principal Pascal Picotte feels that they have come a long way since the beginning of the 2006 season. “We have two machines. One was left close to what we got from Buell and is the bike that Steve has raced so far this year. We have gone more radical with the second machine, which now has a full race front end with more adjustment possibilities, different brakes, wheels, ram air and airbox, and a different exhaust system.”

Picotte added that “The second bike is very much an R&D project to give guidance to get ready for 2007.” The Formula Xtreme race will be held on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 30, 2006.
